What is the Reservation Hatao Movement?

The Reservation Hatao Movement (Reservation Hatao Andolan official, RHA India) is a citizen-led, non-partisan civic movement calling for a phased, income-based reform of India's reservation system. It is not a political party and takes no political funding.

Does the movement want to abolish reservation overnight?

No. We ask for a phased, judicially-reviewable transition from group-tag quotas to income-verified support under the NEMI framework, with Article 46 uplift for the genuinely disadvantaged kept fully intact.

What is NEMI?

NEMI is the proposed National Economic Mobility Index — a verified measure combining household income, assets and landholding, parental education, school quality and first-generation-learner status, so support reaches real disadvantage instead of an inherited tag.

Is this movement against any caste or community?

No. The movement is explicitly against a targeting method, not against any community. Campaigning against a caste, religion or community violates our guidelines and results in removal from membership.

Is the movement affiliated with a political party?

No. RHA India is non-partisan. It fields no candidates, does no election work and accepts no political funding.

How do I join, and does it cost anything?

Are the protests legal and peaceful?

Yes. Every gathering we organise is permitted, registered and strictly non-violent under our published protest charter. Disruption and violence are grounds for immediate removal.

Where does the money go?

Contributions are voluntary and cover only servers, domain and site maintenance. Every rupee received and spent is disclosed publicly on the Support page. There is no political spending and no 80G deduction.
